XilaMonstrr Productions is the multidisciplinary creative brainchild of Síle P. Heaney ("sheila"), a culmination of 17 years of collaborative artistic trouble-making.

XilaMonstrr Productions creates highly immersive art that invites attendees into other worlds. We craft events that break down the spectator wall between audience and performers, and create films that engage the audience through emotional connection and storytelling.

 

Her mission is to provide opportunities for people to let go of the world that holds them back, to step boldly forward into alternative realities together. In doing so, people find their creative power and feel more capable of transforming the world around them.

From 2010-2012, Ms. Heaney was the founder and lead organizer of The Big GAY Warehouse, a queer arts event space in San Francisco. Referred to as “The Underground Party Queen of SF”, she was featured in the Bay Guardian’s Hot Pink List. XilaMonstrr Productions marks her return to filmmaking and event production after a long hiatus. 

In the meantime, she has engaged herself with rural queer community organizing and video game design.
